The Friends of Bradford Cathedral
The Friends of Bradford Cathedral is a Registered Charity (no: 1049398) and exists to bring together in fellowship all those who care for the Cathedral, to support the Cathedral and its staff through prayer for its work, and through fund-raising for special projects as well as upkeep and maintenance.
Our patron is the Bishop of Bradford, the President is the Dean of Bradford, and Marion Parry and Sir James Hill are Vice Presidents.
We have supported the production of a new Cathedral Guide Book and the provision of ramps enabling access for the disabled to some parts of the Cathedral interior which have steps; we have recently supported the installation of a new range of organ pipes. We are committed to the improvement of display facilities for the welcome of visitors and for work with schools, both of which are important features of the Cathedral’s ministry.
The programme of fellowship continues with pilgrimages, visits, garden parties and "Winter Warmers...
Please look at our Events page for details of plans for this year.
We are also looking for materials to help us to compile a history of the Cathedral.
There is something for everyone, and we invite you to join the Friends now and help us to fresh witness in the 21st century.
