Current Areas of Concern

Church in the World is extraordinarily varied in the range and scope of its activities. There are now over 200 volunteers and staff supporting and working with the various task groups and partnerships, all of whom are committed to the mission and work of the diocese through the Church in the World Synodical Committee. Each year, however there are also special anniversary events or projects.

Advent Meditations

Advent, (from the Latin, adventus: coming), comprises the four weeks before Christmas, and is a season of expectant waiting and of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus. At advent we are invited to ask ourselves:

What can I do for the Kingdom of God?
Where is Christ to be found in our broken world?
