Guidance for Organs
In association with the Church Buildings Council, the Institute of British Organ Building (IBO) has produced guidance for parishes on redundant pipe organs. This includes advice on the disposal, advertising and acquisition of redundant organs.
The guidance leaflet is also available from the Churchcare website http:// www.churchcare.co.uk and from the IBO website http://www.ibo.co.uk), which also contains a database of organs currently available for relocation.
Another useful recent addition to the Churchcare website is a set of 23 Funding Guides Developed by a Good Practice Group established by the National Stewardship Committee of the Church of England.
The Guides aim to cover all stages of a funding appeal, from initial planning to the evaluation afterwards, and include guidance on funding sources, applications, budgeting, business plans, Gift Aid and fundraising events. The Guides are available from Churchcare as well as the Parish Resources website http://www.parishresources.org.uk
