Airedale deanery is part of the Bradford Archdeaconery of the Bradford Diocese.
The deanery stretches from Manningham and Girlington to Thornton and across to Bingley and Baildon.
We are split into 5 clusters of parishes working together.
Bingley
This cluster consists of six churches across three parishes and is served by three clergy.
Baildon
Is one single parish with three churches and served by two clergy although one does deanery children's work one day a week.
Shipley
Consists of 4 separate parishes with 4 churches. Windhill is part of a local ecumenical project and is currently staffed by a methodist minister and an anglican non-stipendiary minister. Frizinghall is staffed by a half time priest who combines this job with the chaplain of Emmanuel College.
Eastern Airedale
Manningham, Girlington, Heaton St Barnabas, Heaton St Martin and St. Chad's Toller Lane parishes make up this cluster and are currently served by 5 priests.
South Eastern Airedale
Thornton, Fairweather Green and Allerton parishes are the final cluster. Currently there is only one priest in post in Allerton but we are advertising for a priest to look after the two remaining parishes.
