Bradford's Carbon Offset Fund

The Bradford Diocese Green Fund has been set up to offset CO2 emissions from our air and car travel by funding 'green' projects in the diocese, and to focus our minds on greener ways of travelling where possible.

For car travel, we're asking people to give 1p per mile. (It's easiest to work this out annually, and then see the amount go down year on year!)

For flights: 1p/mile for the distance between the two - to work that out go to http://gc.kls2.com/ and enter the departure and arrival airports. (If you're not on the 'net, you can work out the distance with a globe and a piece of string!)

The fund will finance innovative environmental projects around the diocese: e.g. car sharing schemes, insulation, heat pumps.

Cheques should be made payable to BDBF with a note attached "For the Green Fund", and sent to Kadugli House, Elmsley Street, Steeton, Keighley, BD20 6SE.

Please support this fund, and let's intensify our prayers in the run up to the Copenhagen summit - it must succeed as the economies and food supplies of the entire world depend on it.
