Faith in Action Workshop at Cathedral

Enabling your church to be more effective in the community

Date: Tuesday 24th November 2009
Time: 9:45am-4pm (we start promptly at 10am)
Venue: Bradford Cathedral, 1 Stott Hill, Bradford, BD1 4EH (details on travel/parking here)
Cost: £10/person to be paid on the day (including lunch)

The workshop will be an interactive day giving you some practical advice and tips to help your church have even more impact in the local community. There will be a choice of sessions from Church Urban Fund, Livability, Bradford Council and local projects, so you can tailor your day to fit you best:

• Managing volunteers
• Funding advice (both for trusts and statutory/commisioning bids)
• Building good relationships with statutory services
• Keeping your Christian distinctiveness
• How to be involved in Christian community ministry over the long haul
• Examples of effective church-based community work
